Hiking, GR 34 and beaches in Plouarzel, at the tip of Finistère

In Plouarzel, at the westernmost point of Finistère, the landscapes of the Iroise sea are particularly well explored on foot.

At Chalets de Kerescar, the beaches and coastal path are just 150 meters away. From your accommodation, you can easily reach the coast and set off directly to explore the coastline, without needing a car.

Between coastal paths, beaches, coves, rocks and wide open spaces overlooking the sea, it is an ideal territory for alternating hiking, discovery and moments of relaxation by the water.

Starting on foot from the Kerescar Chalets

The GR34 passes in the immediate vicinity of the chalets, about 150 meters away.

This situation allows you to start a walk directly from Kerescar and choose your route according to your desires: a few kilometers along the coast, a stroll to the tip of Corsen and contemplate the islands of the archipelago or a longer hike through the landscapes of the tip of Finistère.

The pleasure also lies in being able to walk back to your chalet after the walk, without having to look for a parking space or get back in the car.

Along the way, the trail offers numerous viewpoints overlooking the Iroise sea and its wild landscapes.

Beaches just a few minutes' walk away

Just a few minutes from the chalets, several beaches allow you to simply enjoy the seaside.

You can go down there for a morning stroll, take a break during a hike or simply sit facing the ocean.

This proximity to the coast is part of the Kerescar experience: the sea is not only visible from the chalets, it can be easily reached on foot.

A wild coastline to discover

Around Plouarzel, the route along the coast allows you to discover a particularly rich natural and maritime heritage.

Porspaul Bay, Trézien Lighthouse and Corsen Point offer different faces of the coastline: beaches, rocks, moors, ocean panoramas and open horizons.

Further along, continuing the exploration of the Iroise coast, you can reach the Conquet area and the Saint-Mathieu point, with its maritime heritage and open views of the archipelago.

The area is therefore suitable for both a short stroll and a full day dedicated to exploring the coastline.

Between land and sea, the discovery of the Iroise

Staying in Plouarzel also allows you to discover the islands of the Iroise sea.

From Le Conquet, connections allow you to reach Ouessant and Molène, two emblematic destinations of this maritime territory.

After a day on the trails or an excursion to the islands, you will find the calm of the Chalets de Kerescar, in a preserved natural environment with no overlooking neighbors.

A stay to slow down

Here, hiking is not just an activity to include in a holiday program.

It's a different way to discover Finistère: walk along the coast, take the time to observe the light on the sea, stop on a beach, discover a lighthouse or simply follow the path without seeking to go further.

The five independent chalets are situated facing the Iroise Sea, in a calm, unspoiled, and secluded setting. After a day spent outdoors, you can return to your own space, your terrace, and the view of the open sea.

Located 150 meters from the beaches and the GR34, Kerescar is a natural starting point for exploring Plouarzel and the tip of Finistère on foot.
